AR 2.9 (12 PTS)

This book is about how a girl named Saba has to rescue her twin brother, Lugh, and goes through big nasty fights only to discover difficult things about herself.  I would recommend this book to people who like fierce fights and who like to read about unbeatable survivors and romance, too.

Behemoth

By Scott Westerfeld
AR 5.4 (13 PTS)

If you enjoyed Leviathan, you will love its fast-paced sequel, Behemoth.  The Leviathan, and, of course, Alek and Daryn, get to the Ottoman Empire to try and stop them from joining the war.  Read to hear the story of Alek and Daryn joining a rebellion, destroying machines with spice balls, and toppling Tesla cannons.  I recommend this story to anyone who enjoyed Leviathan.  It's the same Darwinist versus Clanker concept.  If you haven't read Leviathan, it would be best to read it before starting Behemoth.

Insignia

By S.J. Kincaid
AR 5.5 (18 PTS)

Do video games interest you? High tech gadgets? War? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, Insignia may be the book for you.  It's a fast paced sci-fi novel that tells the tale of ragged and homeless Tom being recruited by the military at the Pentagonial Spire for his gamin g prowess.  Here, he makes dangerous enemies, helpful friends, and insane aspirations.  I recommend this book, as stated above, to anyone interested in war, technology, and video games.  f you are interested in fast-paced sic-fi, then you may also anjoy it.

Goliath

By Scott Westerfeld
AR 5.3 (14 PTS)

In the stunning conclusion to the Leviathan trilogy, you will hardly be able to peel your eyes away.  It starts witht the airship, the Leviathan, picking up the famous Nikola Tesla from Russia.  A master of alternating currents, he claims to own a weapon strong enough to stop the war.  It's clear he sues for peace, but few can argue that he is a madman.  I recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed Leviathan and Behemoth, as Goliath is the third in their series.  If you haven't read those two books, I suggest doing so before reading Goliath.
