PTS 16.0

Tris Prior has to embrace the Divergence inside her to save the ones she loves. But her choices will affect what happens to her and her loved ones. This is the second book in The Divergent Series, so if you haven't read Divergent be sure to check that out first! I would recommend this book to people who like action and a little bit of romance. It is a great book for everyone to read!

Beatrice Prior is a sixteen-year-old girl living life in the selfless and respectful faction she was born into, Abnegation. At her Choosing Ceremony she boldly decides to change factions and becomes Dauntless. Beatrice has to adapt quickly as her new faction values courage, bravery, toughness, and fearlessness. During her Dauntless training, she finds the love of her life. She also has to be brave when she looses the people she loves. I would recommend this book to people who like The Hunger Games and Harry Potter. If you like those series you should definitely read this book!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone

By Laini Taylor

AR
RL 5.8
PTS 16.0

Karou may seem to have a normal life; going to college at an art school in Prague, having her super best friend (Zuzana), and an ex-boyfriend who wants to get back together. But, Karou has the most unbelievable life ever. She was innocent once, a little girl playing with feathers in the devil's lair. Now she is a 17 year old art student with blue hair that grows from her head and who speaks 15 languages. Karou also runs errands for Brimstone, a chimaera who is the closest thing she has to a father. Brimstone's number one rule is to not be curious, but the only thing Karou has ever wanted is to know who she really is. I would recommend this book to people who are really into fantasy and romance. This book focuses mostly on finding out who you really are. You might be intimidated by the size of this book, but don't be because every single page of this book has little clues about Karou. In some of the chapters they change the point of view of the character. This is truly an impressive book!
