Summer breaks are supposed to be all fun and games, but not for Callum Hunt whose father thinks it is not a picnic. His closest friend at home is his chaos-ridden wolf, Havoc. Callum is having a hard time because he can't back to the magical world of the Magisterium... Things get even harder for him when he finds out that his dad might be trying to kill him and Havoc. Callum tries to escape to Magisterium, but when he arrives he finds out about a copper gauntlet capable of separating certain magicians from their magic. This item is called the Alkahest and it has been stolen. Callum, Aaron, and Tamara take it upon themselves to find the culprit. During their search, they awaken very dangerous foes and a dangerous truth.  I would recommend this book to people who like magic, action, and adventure. This is the second book in the Magisterium Series, so if you haven't read the first book, The Iron Trial, be sure to check that out before reading The Copper Gauntlet! This book is full of secrets and surprises that might confuse you at first, but as you continue reading everything will start to make sense. You won't believe what Callum does at the end!!
