The 5th Wave

By Rick Yancey
AR
RL 4.6
PTS 17.0

After the 4th Wave Cassie knows one rule only: "Trust No One."  Cassie thought that staying alone is the best way to survive since the "Others" came.  Yet the 5th Wave is coming.  Cassie couldn't find her brother and she doesn't know what the 5th Wave will be.  Then she meets handsome, charming Evan Walker, who took care of her for weeks after she was injured.  Evan could be the only one who can help her rescue her brother, but then Cassie would have to trust him.  There's just one thing that he's not telling her. . . but, why?  I would recommend this book to people who like sic-fi and romance.  The book is divided into eight parts.  It still has chapters, but it's written differently.  You might think you know what they're going to do or say, but you don't!  It will surprise you on how well written this plot is--you will not want to put it down and you'll want to finish this book TODAY!!!

Amber Brown is Not a Crayon

By Paula Danziger
AR
RL 3.7
PTS 1.0

This is a story about a girl named Amber who had a hard time.  Amber and Justin were friends since preschool. Justin and his mom needed to sell their house so that they could live in Alabama with Justin's dad.  One day the sign that said "For Sale" in front of their house had a sticker that said "SOLD." Everyone was super sad that day.  I would recommend this book for people who have had friends that had to move away.  It would also be good for people who have had arguments with their friends and then forgave each other.

Legend

By Marie Lu

AR
RL 4.8
PTS 11.0

Day is a very well-known teen-aged criminal.  Although he never killed anyone, the government still wants him.  June is a teenage prodigy.  She is the only one to get a perfect score on her trial of 1500.  After her brother was supposed to be killed by Day, it is her mission to track Day down.  Day is struggling to keep himself together because his little brother is sick.  Most people believe Day is dead.  Only one person knows he's alive.  When Day and June meet, they do not know what's heading their way!  I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy action and romance.  Also, in each chapter you read from a different characters point-of-view--this might be a little confusing at first, but you will get it!  This book is similar to the book, "The Testing."  You can not imagine how Day and June meet!!!
